More Than a Carwash!
Every single exterior detail starts with the wash!
The first way we attack contaminated paint is via chemical removal. This step will remove any iron particles that other wise stay hidden and slowly start to rust, along with other random contaminants that the pressure washer or wash mitt cant get off. This will usually take place before we ever touch the paint, to limit the swirling caused by the wash mitt.
Another way is with clay bars. The clay will remove all the contaminates that is left over from the chemical removal, like tiny particles of tar, sap, pollen, and more! This stage is typically after the car is dried, and is used with some type of lubricant to allow the clay to glide smoothly.
Once we are done, the paint will feel smooth, and will be ready for a protection!
Getting your paint protected is a great idea form many reasons. Firstly, it makes the surface very slick, making it hard for water to sit on the paint, therefore making it less likely to dry and cause water marks.
Not only that, but it helps defend against light scratching, swirling, oxidizing from the sun, and fading out in general. It gives it an overall fresh feeling while it is on.
Our exterior detail comes standard with a spray wax that lasts between 1-3 weeks, but you can upgrade to our hand wax or a ceramic coating.
